A Proper Audio Panel, Like

Version 1.0 — 22 September 2026

A Proper Audio Panel, Like is made and sold by RealRadio (https://realradio.app), contact support@realradio.app.

By installing or using it you accept these terms. They are meant to be readable; if anything here is unclear, email and ask.

What you can do with it

One licence covers up to 3 machines that you own or personally use, for anything you like, at home or at work. If you need more, buy another licence — or email and ask, and it will usually be sorted out.

The licence does not expire, does not need an account, and the app never needs a network connection.

Free and full

Most of it is free forever: volume and mute, level meters, stowing, renaming, microphone monitoring.

Routing, default-device switching, and presets and their shortcuts are the full version and need a licence key. You can use the full version free for 7 days to decide, starting the first time you run it. When the trial ends the full features stop and the free ones carry on.

Your licence key

A key is issued to you, for your own machines, up to the limit above. Do not publish it, share it or pass it round. There is no activation server checking up on you, which means the limit runs on honesty — please do not be the reason that has to change.

Keys are checked on your own computer, against a signature. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no activation server to go down or to phone home.

Lost your key? Email support@realradio.app and it will be re-sent.

What you should not do

Do not strip out the licence check or the trial, or hand other people tools to do that. Do not sell it or pass it off as yours.

Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be signed away — in the UK and EU that includes studying the software and making it work with other things.

Your settings, and your privacy

The app collects nothing and makes no network connections. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. On Linux it ships with no network permission at all, which you can check yourself in the Flatpak permissions.

Your settings — device names, stow layout, presets, shortcuts, monitored inputs, theme and layout — live on your own machine and go nowhere.

If you buy a key, the payment is handled by PayPal under their terms, not by the app.

Sold as it is, and support is not promised

The software is sold AS IS, with no warranty of any kind. It is not promised to be fit for any particular purpose, to be free of faults, or to work with any given device, driver, desktop environment or audio server. You are buying the thing that exists today, not a promise about what it will become.

There is no obligation to provide support, updates, fixes or continued availability. This is written and maintained by one person. Questions to support@realradio.app are read and are usually answered, and there is a 7-day trial precisely so you can find out whether it works on your machine before paying — but none of that is a commitment, and no timescale is promised.

To the fullest extent the law allows, no responsibility is accepted for any loss or damage arising from use of the software, including lost work, lost data, lost profit, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid.

Two things cannot lawfully be excluded and are not: liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and liability for fraud. If you are a consumer, you also keep the statutory rights described under Refunds below.

Refunds

Once your key has been sent, the sale is final and there are no refunds.

That is not a term imposed on you — it is something you choose at the checkout. As a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content, and a key works the moment it arrives, so you pick:

  • Tick the box asking for your key straight away. You give up the 14-day cancellation right, the key is sent, and there is no refund from that point. It is never ticked for you.
  • Do not tick it, and email support@realradio.app instead. The order is handled by hand and your 14 days stay intact.

Until the key is actually sent you can still cancel for a full refund. And you are not deciding blind — the full version runs as a 7-day trial before you pay anything, on your own machine, with your own devices. Use it.

The one thing the above does not cover: if the software is faulty or not as described, your statutory rights to a repair, replacement or refund apply in full, whatever you ticked. That cannot be signed away and is not being asked for.

Ending it

Stop using it and delete it, and that is that. If someone publishes their key or strips out the licence check, the full version licence ends; the free features are unaffected.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the consumer law where you live.
