Privacy Policy — A Proper Audio Panel, Like

Last updated: 22 June 2026

A Proper Audio Panel, Like collects no data. It is an offline desktop application and does not gather, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

What the app accesses

The app uses the Windows audio APIs on your PC to list your playback and recording devices and the apps currently using audio, and to set their volume, mute, default device, and routing. All of this stays on your computer.

Microphone

The app can show a live input level for a microphone, but only for an input you explicitly switch on (the “MON” button). While monitoring, audio is read solely to display the level meter in real time — it is never recorded, saved, or transmitted, and monitoring stops the moment you turn it off.

Network

The app makes no network connections and contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising. Purchase and free-trial licensing is handled by the Microsoft Store itself (under Microsoft's privacy terms), not by us. Clicking the RealRadio badge opens realradio.app in your browser, at your explicit request.

Storage

Your settings — device names, stow layout, presets, hotkeys, monitored inputs, colour theme, and layout choice — are saved locally on your own device (under your user profile) and are not sent anywhere.
